Unlike Peter Pan, I have to grow up...

Arriving in Florida really magnified the fact that I was really on my own. I have been on a bunch of planes by my-self beginning at a young age, but someone has always been waiting for me on the other side to pick me up at the airport. This time I had to get off the plane and find my way to a place that I had never been to before by myself. Luckily that airport makes it pretty easy and I could take a shuttle bus (really just a lame van) directly to the apartments that I had to check into the Disney College program at. Even that was a crazy process! Aton of people arrived on the same date at me (there are multiple arrival and departure dates) and we had to go through a big line stopping at different stations getting our apartment complex IDs (which they took our picture and printed out in a matter of minutes), getting our apartment assignments and keys, filling out more paperwork, getting our first schedules and our program guides. Then we had to hop on a big bus with all our luggage to be dropped off at our apartment complexes. Did I mention that all of this was outside? In the sticky, humid, feels-just-like-a-sauna, weather of Florida? It was brutal! And sure, we got dropped off at the apartment complex but I had to find the correct building (there are 26 ). Turns out I was in building 22 on the 3rd floor. Needless to say I was really siked about hiking up three flights of stairs after the long day of traveling I just had. But my apartment is pretty good (and I scored the bedroom with the bigger bathroom and closet)
